Crews were dispatched shortly before 11pm to the Exit 164 Off Ramp from Interstate 81 NB for the report of a tractor trailer on fire. Engine 1 arrived to confirm a well involved fire in the trailer portion of the vehicle. Vehicle was found to be carrying large rolls of AstroTurf. Mutual Aid assistance was called in to assist in dousing the blaze. Units operated on location for approximately 2.5 hours. The Exit ramp was shut down for a brief time while crews operated on the scene.
