| he Hanover Township Fire Department was proud to welcome students from the Hanover Area School District Life Skills Class to Fire Headquarters this week for an interactive fire safety tour.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to meet with firefighters, explore the department’s apparatus, and learn about fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and the important role firefighters play in the community.
Firefighters guided the students through each step of an emergency response, demonstrating how the department’s engines, ladders, and rescue equipment are used during real incidents. Students were also shown the proper way to call 911, how to identify fire hazards at home, and what to do if they ever encounter smoke or fire.
The visit concluded with a tour of the station’s living quarters and a group photo in front of Engine 1. The Hanover Township Fire Department would like to thank the Hanover Area School District for their continued partnership in promoting community safety and education.
